Everytime I see one of those cars it makes me think of the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral, with Hugh Grant. One of my favourite movies, the car in the movie was also red; as per this source.

Yellow minis make me think of Mr.Bean whenever I see them.
Funnily enough when I see an old mini it reminds me of my first ever car.
