Back in February 2013 I picked up a mini Crockpot for my dh. I posted about it here. Two years later and it is still in use. It's one of those good buys that I would recommend.
It's just big enough to hold a can of Chunky Soup (dh's favourite) or leftover's. He turns it on when he gets to work and it's piping hot when lunch time comes around. It fits into his lunch box just fine and it makes a big change from sandwiches and salad. He does not have access to a lunch room.
I finally got the binding sewn on the baby quilt.
The backing with the bright pink and green binding is so cheerful

I have one of the Mini Crockpots and take it to work with me also. It's perfect for those rooms that have no microwave and it holds just the right about to fill me up.
When my first child was born in 1968, an elderly woman (about my age now) made a quilt for my son. The top was a solid color and the back was a solid color of flannel. She told me she put two flannel pieces inside because she could not afford batting. She apologized for the crooked stitching. She seemed embarrassed about her gift.
I squealed with joy, genuine joy. I thanked her multiple times, causing her more embarrassment. I think she thought I was trying to offset her homemade thrifty-by-dent-of-her-poverty by over thanking her.
The crooked stitches were charming. He used that baby blanket for 12 years.
Don't apologize for crooked stitches.

Miss my crock pot hugely. Had a brilliant American one, but cannot get one in the UK for love nor money that has a good fitting lid! Sighs.

I have a tiny slow cooker, it was a free gift with something or other ages ago - I use it for puddings when the main meal is in a bigger slow cooker.
I like uneven stitching, I think it adds character, I hate things that are too 'perfect', they look machine made/mass produced.
I love that gorgeous little quilt, so colourful! Hmmm, wonder if I could find a mini crockpot like that to go in the Great Scot's lunchbox???

It's a cute baby crock pot. I only have a regular sized one. I would like a couple more. I will have to see what's available at the local Goodwill.

What a beautiful quilt! I so want to learn how to make a quilt. One of these days! I have this huge crockpot that my mom gave me as a gift and I got rid of my regular sized one. I really don't like this big one - too big, so I hardly ever use it now. I just need to buy myself a cheap regular sized one and give this one to Goodwill.
Quilts are made even more precious by their lack of perfection. That's what a quilt use to be, made with love and scraps, back in it's utilitarian days, before quilting became a hobby. 8-)
And I have never seen one of these small electric crockpots for toting one's lunch in.
But then again, I've never looked. lol

Great idea for the slow cooker. I don't think I've seen one as small as that before, a great idea for take to work lunches.

Like Denise I don't think I've seen a crockpot that small - I've seen large flasks with wide openings but not something that can be connected to the electric. Is it definitely single serve or large enough for a meal for two?
The best thing about handmade is that the hand that made it is visible - something an old lady told me a long time ago when I commented on my stitching at a craft class. Stuck in my mind ever since.

I've never seen a mini crockpot before! Sounds like a great thing for lunch-takers to have. Your quilts are soooo beautiful.
Loving that quilt a lot! Such bright and pretty colours! I love this idea of keeping a mini crockpot at work to put your soup in etc while you work. I mix and freeze batches of soup and then Luke could put them in in the morning and have fresh soup by midday! Going to suggest this idea to him.
