What a glorious week it has been weather wise.

It's hard to believe we are going to be heading into the last week of November.  I was out in the garden, gardening on Wednesday with just a long sleeved t-shirt on, no jacket or hat as it was that warm.

We are still eating the tomatoes I pulled off the tomato plants last month.  They are ripening up nicely in the window sill.

Had the best smell in the house all day on Thursday as I was cooking chicken leg quarters in bbq sauce in the crockpot.  Stripped them off the bone and had the meat on hot dog buns with cheese and onions.  I am in the process of cleaning out the downstairs freezer.

I posted a book review for the book, "Debt-Proof Your Christmas," by Mary Hunt on my book review blog.  If you have a moment please read the review, as it is an excellent book that I thoroughly recommend.
I haven't been posting the home of the week for the past couple of weeks, as honestly they have been awful and this week's isn't much better.  However I thought I would post a link to this week's "Home of the Week."  I am not a fan of the minimalist look, and wanted to ask a question to those who love the look.  How on earn do you get comfortable in a house like that?  Those stool thingy's in the living room would kill my back in seconds.  Also how do you keep an all white house looking clean?  Not live in it?

The $1.1 million price tag on "The Condo of Week," doesn't make matters any better.  Very overpriced for what it is, don't you think?  Then they have featured the new Google Offices in Toronto.  Didn't even know there were Google offices in Toronto.  Looks like a fun place to work though?

I think the weather has been to lull us into a false sense of security.

We had nice weather here this week as well!

As for the homes, I actually like the house better than the condo! To get comfortable, I would of course lose the stools in favor of some chairs :)

Hi Gill,

I feel the same about the minimalist look. I like comfortable armchairs and couches. I prefer warm colors and the country look more than anything. Sure my home looks busy but every piece has a sentimental value.

With a price tag of $1.1 million the owners probably ran out of money and were unable to afford any furniture, hence the "minimalist" look, lol!

I like furniture and walls painted with artworks hanging. That way i don't stress over any dirty marks on the white walls, lol!

I hate the Condo, it looks so impersonal and cold to live in.

Past two days were really nice, but the cold returned. The wind just howled this morn.

I wonder if anyone actually does live in some of those 'Homes of the Week.' They are just too sterile for my tastes. And did you notice how the woman kept appearing in some of the photos. I thought that was odd.

I have no idea where November went, my days here in London have flown by... like super fast, I wish the days were slower, maybe because it gets dark so early is why they seem to go faster.
Miss your blog and will catch up when I get home!

This week has been just wonderful. I think I spent more time outdoors than in. Have to catch it while we can.

As you know, I live in a condo but it does not resemble the empty sterile space of some of those you have included. It has it's own character.... ie I have a small chest freezer in my l.r. space with a tablecloth over it. Suits me just fine right now. :) I enjoy your home/condo of the week links.
