The Home Show and Canada Blooms.....

On Saturday we went to the Home Show, it was also the Canada Blooms Show as well.  Dd and son in law met us there and we had a wander around.  There was a lot of lovely stuff, and a lot of things we could never afford including this, which looks like an antique  mirrored door pantry:
However when you open the doors, this is what you see:
Now I don't remember if it was a Miele brand, but the woman said the whole unit; fridge and glass unit would cost no less than $20,000.  Pretty neat though I have to say and here is their website.  If nothing else click on the website link to see the cute doggie.  I would love one of those kitchens that they design, but unless I win the lottery we will never be able to afford it.

I then saw this chair and it was actually very comfy and I thought would be very fitting in our house; and in the scheme of things not too pricey at around $1,100.  Here is a link to their website there is some nice furniture on there.

Oh and Dh thought this might be useful around the garden!!!

I took a lot of photos in the Canada Blooms section that I will share with you over the next few days, but wanted to show you this plant:
It is a Pitcher Plant and as I'm writing this I am thinking I should have bought one to catch all those bloody cluster flies............though they are not cheap at $45 each.

All in all we were there five hours, and the only reason we left was that we were pooped and our feet and legs were killing us.  Dd and son in law were light weights and left before us.  We had a good time though and will share more over the coming week.

I can't believe pitcher plants are available to buy! They are rare in the wild. I wonder what care instructions they give you because they grow in swamps!

Fantastic fridge, wouldn't mind one of them.

That plant looks a bit strange!

I don't go to home shows as it just makes me want stuff I can't afford. Also, hubby would never go. I like that plant...very cool.

Gill,
Glad you have the cast off and are able to be more mobile now. First washing outdoor! You have to love the nice smell of freshly hung outside laundry.
The home show looks like it was fun. I like the looks of the pitcher plant. The fridge idea is neat but very pricey.

Darn I only realized the show was on yesterday. I like that they combined both shows. I always thought the Canada Blooms was too spread out and didn't have a lot of content for the entrance fee. I would go just to take photos.

When you buy one of those for $20,000, go ahead and buy one formme...LOL It is pretty, though I could never afford one in this lifetime.

Sounds like you had a lot o fun at the show.

I was looking at going but the cost of $17. for a ticket to get it told me I had better ways to spend my time. Like today moving logs! It is nice to dream though isn't it.

Holy cow that's a nice fridge!! Unfortunately it would cost about 1/4 the price of the house we are looking at buying!

Hi Gill!! During the week I've been reading your blog at work, but not having the time to respond. But today, I do! :-) I'm glad you got your arm out of the cast, and just in time for this great home show that is my kind of way to spend a Saturday! (I love the frige too!!)

I hope you've had an enjoyable Sunday!!

intrigued by the Pitcher Plant! would have been great to have one in the southwest in the summer when the flies could be horrendous, especially if one had a horse!

the refrigerator is gorgeous...the price...not so much!
