Skywatch Friday

We went out for a drive on Sunday, and I took these photos while we were driving, from the truck. They were taken around 3.30pm, the sun was shining so bright, but it was bitterly cold out. You had to wear sunglasses against the glare of the sun on the snow, a perfect winter's day.

(as always click on the photos for more detail)

Great shots Gill, at first glance it looked like water and then I noticed it was snow. Excellent for skywatch Friday.

Cheers!

That's one of the things about Winter that I DO like - the way the sky can be so dramatic.

Wonderful photos. You've captured the bitter cold very well, even if the sun is shining. Nice SWF shots.

Beautiful photos! Thank you for sharing. Though I'm glad I'm not as far north as you are. I'm in Southern Oregon and we get some snow in winter. Mostly hard freezes, ice, and chilly fog. Brr... Have a lovely weekend!

Gorgeous collection of shots... love the mini-twinkle of the sun in that first shot. Something about the sun over water... so relaxing!

Great to see the silhouettes in the sunlight in your snowy world.
Overhere the winter is back in town, perhaps we'll even get some snow ... :-)

Why not try sunglasses on your camera too? It is called a polarizing filter and reduces glare.
