Today's Flower......

This is the first time I have grown Dahlia's, and it won't be my last, as they are super simple to grow.  I have always admired them, as my uncle in Britain always grew them; and he was always bringing home bunches for my aunts house.

These are gorgeous close-ups, Gil. The white dahlias look like starbursts.

We don't generally plant these, but this year did have a pretty red one. Love the multi petals.

They're such lovely flowers and so easy to grow (though tricky to sustain).

I absolutely love dahlias. Their blooms looks as thought they are sculpted from wax! Don't you have to dig up the bulbs every winter? ~karen

Truly scrumptious Gill. I love them too, even the ear-wiggy ones. They are excellent for cutting and so perfectly formed that I'm sure God must have put them in his own garden, right at the front!
