Oh Molly!!

On Sunday Molly had three uninterrupted hours of frolicking in the woods and fields while her mother was going crazy looking for her.

Needless to say her mother was not a happy camper.......although her mother is now on first name terms with a lot more neighbours!

And when her mother did finally catch up with her in the woods south of her home and hauled her over the fence again, then climbed up Mount Everest to get back to the house; all Molly wanted to do was go into the wood pile after the squirrels nesting there.

Punishment for Molly was having to take a shower, as she was filthy!

Both Molly and her mother are resting comfortably from their escapades.

Normal service will resume tomorrow, as Molly's mother will have hopefully got over her bad mood! (No guarantees though!)

Molly's mother should seriously kick Molly up the arse. I'd pay good money to witness you both climbing the fence though!!!! xxx

I totally understand why you wouldn't have signed up for the Sunday afternoon adventure tour that Molly did, and are upset about being taken on one--But I'm glad she's home and I hope that your cloud leaves and "normal service" returns!!

I think Molly is very fortunate to have a mom who still claims her. You are a wonderful dog person. Finest kind.

That's another reason I don't want another dog. Although our yard has a high privacy fence around it, they sometimes shoot out the front door when it's answered, then the chase is on all over the neighborhood, and at 73 and stiff joints, I'm too old for that. We have our daughter's cat living with us, he's more my speed, he's an in door cat and doesn't even attempt to go out. He sleeps a lot. Happy resting.

Too funny! have you thought about one of those underground fences? i think that is an inherent trait in beagles - running off - ours does that all the time.

A shower for Molly sounds like further mom punishment. You have to laugh, though...

Oh dear...might it be time to think about invisible fencing with a collar? She'll try and get out another time or two and that will be it.
