I admit to putting out the bird seed, as much to attract the squirrels as the birds, as Molly loves to watch them both. However, it's the squirrels that she loves the most. I have discovered they love the sunflower seeds the best and take the skin off them and eat the seed inside. They also seem to know that Molly can't get them when she is inside the house looking at them!
However it seems though that only one squirrel is allowed on the table at a time to feed.
So the other squirrel has to sit in the tree and try and eat from this birdfeeder!!
We managed to get to the dump on Saturday and dispose of more building material from the closets. Only cost us $8 so we were all happy about that.
It's Earth Day on April 22nd, so here is something you can do:
Leave your car at home. If you can stay off the road just two days a week, you'll reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 1,590 pounds per year [Source: EPA]. Combine your errands -- hit the post office, grocery store and shoe repair place in one trip. It will save you gas and time.

Are you still putting money in your Daily Savings Pot? I hope so!

Using old towels and T-shirts instead of disposable wipes and paper towels will cut down on waste and save you money. Plus, cloth is softer, so it's better for cleaning delicate items.

I also feed both the squirrels & birds, I love watching them....they're the only rodents I like! xxx
Is Molly mostly Beagle? . . . . Even squirrels beat TV.
How's the cookbook project coming?

We also had snow on sat. It seems strange to see all the daffodil heads poking threw the snow.
It was all melted by noon.
The farmers are also working the fields which is almost a full month earlier for them.
Molly looks so cute watching the squirrels.
Adorable squirrel post, once again :o) We got lucky here, they said it might snow, but it hasn't so far, or if it has, it was at night when I couldn't see it, so in my books that means it didn't happen ;o)
I always enjoy the pics of Molly!
I love squirrels too but don't want them near the house at all... we had one come in once when I was young and had to live-trap it... they can wreck havoc inside in no time!!!
SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 oh your poor thing!!!!
For once I didn't send it to you and I can chuckle that we are having +23C weather and you had snow. Sorry!! Love the pictures of Molly. Hugs
I must admit I love squirrels- but hardly ever see them - my mum loves feding the birds & though she likes the squirrels too, she's annoyed when they wreck her bird feeder !
I can't believe you had more snow !
nice post nad good reminders
So even squirrels have rules? Hmmm. It's great for you to provide doggy TV for Molly.
We buy sunflower chips, cost a little more, but there's no hulls to have to clean up. Same as buying shelled peanut halves, saves all the peanut shells, squirrels can eat you out of house and home. The cat loves to watch them and the birds. He sits and chatters at them.
I'm sure Molly just loves her "squirrel TV!" I know I like seeing the pictures!!
It's cold here in Virginia too!! Like you, I hate bouncing from one season to another and back again all in a week! I wonder what this week will bring??
There is nothing wrong with feeding the squirrels, too....I buy walnuts and pecans for my Mama Squirrel, as well as sunflower seed and corn. She does not come every day, but often enough. She knows to be afraid of my cats, but knows our old dog will not hurt her...she will come up on our back porch with Shelby, or walk up to her and smell her if she is just laying in the yard.
Snow??!! I hope it's not coming here! I keep on telling myself that the winter is gone. Last time we had a snow storm, you guys had that, too. I am just hoping that it was a coincidence. It was, right?!
Snow?? I second, that is very strange. It was rainy over the WE here but not even close to snow. Thank God!
I find late spring snow so depressing. It amounts to nothing (at least, during a big snow storm, I can take cool pics!) and it makes us feel like Winter again. Ugh.
