Watery Wednesday....

This was taken back in September on the river in Georgetown, South Carolina. I love how the Spanish moss hangs from the tree and the reflection in the water. (click on the photo for more detail)

Nifty - something enchanting about the southern waterways with Spanish moss and massive rooted trees all about.

Pretty exotic looking. Great air of mystery. I'm expecting a voodoo priestess to come through the trees any second!

This is really beautiful. I've never seen a Spanish moss before so glad I could see one today and be familiar.

Has a wonderful Southern Gothic feel to it - I can almost hear someone reading passages from Williams or O'connor. Great shot!

The first time I saw Spanish Moss I thought it was so eerie.
I've grown to appreciate it.
Great shot and reflection.

Must be a very old tree. Moss supposedly takes a long time to grow so big and abundant. I suppose its like silver or gray hair in a person or like a wise person's beard. The tree probably has secrets to tell. :)

Thanks for the picture. We were in Georgetown two years ago and really liked the area. We usually stay north of Myrtle Beach when we go to the coast.
