I finally got Mya's quilt finished. I was going to make her a Tu-Tu, but haven't had the time to go and get the material, so thought I'd make her a quilt with some material I had in my stash.
I must say I am pleased with how it turned out. I love the pink's and cream, just right for a little girl. The front of the quilt is in cotton and the back is flannel, so it is nice and warm. It's around 36" square.
The front of the quilt:

The back, I used some leftover flannel from my niece's quillow:
Finally a close up of the back with the label I put on it.
Lets hope she likes it............

Very nice! I've always admired people that made quilts. I sew but never had the patience for trying a quilt with all those small pieces.
Very nice! My wife's a quilter and it took her two years to finish the last one. A lot of work; well done.
Oh she will love it. Jessie would. Beautiful!

It's beautiful Aunt Gill. I love the colors.
I am sure she will like it, she is a lucky girl. You are so clever.
It's lovely!! You have some gorgeous pinks in there!
Ooh fabulous. I am envious. last time I tried one I couldn't get it all to lie flat.
The quilt is beautiful. I used to do patch work when I was younger but ended up with so many patch work things that I gave it up.
That is lovely. I have made quilted cushions and i wanted to make a quilt for my son but I just dont know where to start. love your colour combinations...
Hi Gill,
Oh, How Beautiful!I think she will LOVE it!
Blessins',lib
I'm sure she will! It's beautiful.
How beautiful your quilt is. Quilting is something I have always secretly wished I could do but honestly, I think it intimidates me so I have never done it. I mean I go to the fair each year and I see those huge beautiful quilts and I just stand there and say "No way! lol
That is beautiful Gill - you are a clever lady. I would love to be able to do something like that. The label is a lovely idea too.

I am impressed. What is a quillow?
Absolutely gorgeous.
A quillow is a quilt that transforms into a pillow. When it is a quilt there is a place for feet, when it is a quillow, it looks good on the bed...
beautiful! and done so quickly. did you do it by hand or machine?
thank you all for the super comments.......
Gill
