I love all sorts of Music and if someone had to ask me what sort of music I liked the best, I wouldn't have a clue what to say? I really enjoy going to live concerts and we generally try to go to a couple each year. I have put a You Tube link on each artists name with a song I really like from each artist.
This year its Celine Dion and Tina Turner. Last year we saw Sarah Brightman and The Dixie Chicks. We've seen both those acts twice now. We've also seen Elton John and although we had terrible seats he's one of the best artists out there. We saw Shania Twain a few years ago, again had horrible seats. Then the last two years we have been to Dollywood and seen the Kingdom Heirs in concert, love their music.
The best concert entertainment wise though had to be Cher's Halloween Bash. Now costumes were optional, so of course me and dh didn't dress up. However when we entered the Sky Dome we should have clicked this was going to be no ordinary concert. I have never seen as many good looking sailors in all my life, and there were so many people who looked like Cher it was crazy.........however I don't think one of them was a woman!!!! I wouldn't even let dh use the bathroom, as I didn't know if he would have come out alive!!!!!
There were a number of other groups playing but the one I remember most was The Village People. Everyone was up dancing, even dh was tapping his feet.......... Then when Cher came on stage the energy she had was fantastic. It was a night to remember.
I will say I had a heck of a time picking just one song from each one of these artists......

It sounds like you have been to many concerts. I have hardly been to any!
I'm a little surprised all those sailors in the video were looking at Cher's face.
DD went to one of those "I-swear-this-is-the-last-one" concerts about 5 years ago and said Cher puts on a great show.
I haven't seen Sarah Brightman in concert, except on PBS, and I don't think that counts, but I am totally mesmerized by her voice.
Color me green!
what is Dollywood like? I have often wondered
The Village People! Now there's a blast from the past. We've been on holiday for the past two years with my daughter and family and "YMCA" seems to have been resurrected at mini discos. The children love it.
Sounds like you are a little rocker on the quiet! I think that it is great that pop stars from the 60s and 70s are still performing and are as popular as ever.

Hey Gill -
Just popped over to let you know that the Celine concert was just incredible!
I will blog about it when my heart isn't hurting quite as badly as it is right now.
Celine has the most incredible voice and the show was fantastic! Not quite as fantastic as her Vegas show - but that was expected when doing a road show.
We get to see Sarah Brightman the day after my last show in Edmonton. We chose to see her in Calgary as it is closer and I will be sick of Edmonton by the time the Butterdome is over and done with. I think it will be a lovely treat after working so hard for these huge craft shows.
This will be our 3rd time to see Sarah. She is someone who makes my mouth drop open when she sings.
My dearest friend Cid took me to see her just before he died. That is how I discovered her. From her I discovered Andrea Bocelli who we have been fortunate enough to see twice now.
Anyway - I will blog about the Celine concert in a little while. I just can't get my brain around a post on it at the moment.
Everyone says Cher's concerts are fantastic would have liked to have seen Dixie Chicks before they split.Caroline
You haven't lived till you've been to a Reba McIntire concert...MY GOD talk about energy...and I hear she's just gone on tour with Kelly Clarkson, so I know which tickets I shall be trying to snag!
