All can be revealed now.....

Back in September when we were on vacation I did this post I said I got a really good deal but couldn't tell you what it was.

Well it was a Coach Purse for dd birthday. She is mad about purses/handbags, and couldn't afford to buy a Coach brand one. I will say her reaction to opening the box and finding the purse was exactly as I imagined. She was thrilled, and we were thrilled that she was so happy. Here are some photos of the purse. It was probably last years stock, but I bought what I think is a classic style, that she will be able to use for years.

We went to the Elephant and Castle for lunch, it's a British style pub, which serves British food, and it was pretty good. Both kids had bangers and mash, me and dd boyfriend had roast beef and Yorkshires and dh had steak sandwich and chips.

We then walked to a Timothy's coffee shop for a coffee and we relaxed in the comfy chairs for ages, just catching up.

We took the subway both to and from the restaurant, and it was dh's first time on the subway. Its not something I would like to do everyday, but it makes a change and as dd says it's not like through the week, when you are all crammed together like sardines in a can.

We then went to Ikea to pick up a couple of things. All in all it was a great day. Dd birthday by the way is on Monday, however everyone is at work, so we celebrated it today.

Sounds like you all had a wonderful time. Purse looks lovely. Are bangers small sausages? And what is mash?

What a big purse! You'll know what I mean. That colour is fabulous.

My daughter is into Radley handags but they're expensive too. I bought her a mini bag last Christmas which is great for when she's going out at night and just wants to take her phone and some cash!

Ikea's great for a browse and picking up some very reasonably priced household stuff. I bought a lovely cot quilt there for Nathan about 10 uears ago. Didn't think it would be up to much for the price but his siter Lauren still drags it around the house and loves to cuddle up in it and it looks brand new!

Pardon me while I swoon with jealousy. A COACH purse. I absolutely love coach purses. I have to admit I have a few I have collected over the last five years and I wear each of them regularly. The style you purchased is very classic and will stay in style for a long time.

I think it is a drop dead gorgeous "stand out" bag, Gill. Glad DD luved it!!!

Old Lady Lincoln - I'm not British but I'm pretty sure bangers and mash are sausages and mashed potatoes.

Sounds as though you all enjoyed the day. And it must have been lovely to see dd's reaction to her purse (gorgeous colour).

Happy birthday to her.

What a fabulous gift for your daughter. I can see why she was thrilled with it. I'm going to enjoy looking at your links, pardon the pun. Bangers and Mash are one of my favorite meals. And a Happy Birthday to your daughter for Monday.
