Today's Flower

These photos were taken back on the 10th of October, I loved the colour combination.

Now a gripe/whine these flowers are planted in planters in front of our newest recreation centre, which opened on September 13th. Did you notice all the green "plants" in these planters..........WEEDS!!!!! It's all well and good planting all these lovely flowers, but you have to weed them every now and then!!!! I have called the parks and rec. department to tell them all about the weeds....of course nothing has been done.

The flowers however are very pretty despite the weeds.

they are gorgeous...despite the weeds. reminds me of the two little planters coming into our driveway here. i had daylillies planted and now the little planters are full of grass/weeds. i think i better get busy and do some pulling. i keep procrastinating...

hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Gill: Those are great flowers. The (weeds) were probably flowering before the frost.

I don't mind the green underground ;-)

That green "plants" all colour to that landscape.
That why they didn't respond to your complaint.

Hi Gill...my weekly visit...I actually can't believe that those flowers are still there, here in Canada on October 10...I heard there was a bad storm in eastern Canada...here in Calgary we have NO snow and are still basking in 15 Celcius weather...I can't believe it. It's great for us runners - I so hate running when it's like -10.

Hello Gill
Yes they look like Chryssies - nice bright ones not the dark maroon ones.
Thats the flower we use down here for Mothers Day in May
Not sure about the weeds - any idea what they actually were?
Take care
Cathy
