and she was fantastic. Her energy was stunning. I mean I would love to have half her energy. She came on stage just after 8pm, she had a half hour break and the show was over at 10:30pm.
Now on the tickets it said that no photography was allowed, so I didn't take my camera, big mistake, as other people brought cameras. Dh took some photos with his cell phone, but they were awful.
She had a few outfit changes, and from what I can gather her outfits were designed by Bob Mackie, they were all lovely. She suited the short mini dresses the best in my opinion, as her legs are so long.
We had floor seats, which meant we stood most of the time, and as I am not the tallest out there, it was hard to see at times. I found it easier to watch the big screens. Here is a link which shows a video of her and you'll see some of the costumes and music. Also here is the review from our newspaper.
This is what she sang:
Steamy Windows
Typical Male
River Deep, Mountain High
What You Get Is What You See
Better Be Good To Me/Won't Get Fooled Again
Acid Queen
What's Love Got To Do With It
Private Dancer
We Don't Need Another Hero
Intermission
Help
Undercover Agent for the Blues
Let's Stay Together
I Can't Stand the Rain
Jumpin' Jack Flash/It's Only Rock and Roll
Goldeneye
Addicted to Love
The Best
Proud Mary
Encore
Nutbush City Limits
Be Tender With Me, Baby
If any of you have an opportunity to see her in concert, do go as it really is worth it.
That's it for us for concerts this year. Haven't got tickets yet for anything in 2009.

I saw her in concert when I was about twenty. I can't believe she still has that much energy! I actually went to see Michael McDonald and she was head-lining.
How fabulous to have been there. Can just imagine the atmosphere in the audience. I love the buzz you get at these big concerts. I know Tina and Ike Turner split years ago but I can still remember loving "River Deep, Mountain High". One of my all-time favourites.

I am not really a TT fan, but have to admit, for her age she is fantastic. When most people have retired and put their slippers on, she is out there, glammed up giving it her all...Good for her!!
Hope I have half her energy!!
Glad you had a good time!!!

I always liked 'What's Love got to do With it?' But she must be a bit long in the tooth!
wow, lucky you!!!
Tina Turner is a lady to be admired and an incredible performer. Glad you got to see her and I shall enjoy the links.
wowza...what a lucky gal you were to get to go to her concert. she's simply a legendary performer.
I have never been much of a concert goer! Not that I would not enjoy one, but I just haven't been since I was oh, say in my 20's.
That is many moons ago!
She is amazing. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.
Oh,you are so lucky. I love Tina Turner. You are right, she has so much energy, makes me feel guilty for being a couch potato. Have you ever seen her movie. Very moving.
I had no idea she was still doing concerts. She's getting up there in age, isn't she?
Good for her!
I am trying to load the page on the christmas bits and bobs which is showing as ready on my blog list but it is coming up as not found- just so you know- not sure if anyone else having the problem...
That sounds like it was a fantastic

Oh Lucky lucky you! I love Tina Turner...she and Bette Midler are my favorite female entertainers...for they are much more than singers!

She may be simply the best. She is coming to Manchester next year but at £75 & £100 a ticket she is too expensive. Glad you enjoyed it.
