I have no idea what is going on, but I am guessing SPAM/Trackers/Robots..........are visiting my blog, because believe me when I say this, I am NOT that popular that nearly 2,000 visitors view my blog as they are interested in me!!!
I do have a good security system on my laptop and desktop, but this is making me a tad concerned. Any suggestions?

Others have mentioned this too and wondered if it were AI bots trolling for content? I don’t know, but thought I would mention it.
I think it is happening to everyone. I have been checking with Statcounter and can see where they are coming from but have no idea how/why
never thought of AI, but makes sense
I thought I read it on someone's blog as well, but couldn't remember where.
I have my blog set so I have to approve all comments before they publish so at least I can block this kind of trash before it gets beyond that. Haven't run into this particular type of spam but I suppose it's only a matter of time.
I have to have to approve all my comments. This however is "people" viewing my blog. Out of the nearly 2,000 "people" viewing my blog, only a handful actually comment. That's why it's odd.
I have been wondering this week why I have had so any views on my blog. It's not that interesting. Checked to see where most of them are from---south of the border--AI?
my thoughts entirely!!
I never noticed that on the stats but just went to look at mine and my last post the number was 5679. What! only 6 people commented on that post so I know that can't be actual people looking at what I have to say.
Follow up to my last comment, I just went back in to look and it seems as though that number beside the comment count is the number of views for all time, not for that particular post, if you click on it you can change the view to different time, i.e 24 hours ect. so perhaps over 5k views wasn't as bad, I have been going a long time, lol
Maggie mine is per the past 24 hours. Mine should be closer to 300, not nearly 2000 something is going on.
Hi Gill, I do get a lot of kind visitors and comments on my blog, which I am extremely grateful for, 80 to over 100 comments. Sadly, I am getting the same huge numbers like yourself, and even with 80 to over 100 GOOD people commenting, those numbers from 2000 to 3000 concern me.
Another thing I just thought of, Gill. You can get a "live traffic feed" for your blog, it shows you the "real visitors" It costs nothing. I have it and it will show you visitors in real time (where they come from, city and country, as well as the time they visit, and what platform they use). If you get this and put it on your blog, you will notice that the real amount of visitors you are getting is a far cry from what the stats are showing. It's up to you, but it is free to get and pretty handy.
I have to admit that I almost never look at my numbers, but after having read your post I checked. Yes, there are suddenly much higher numbers than usual. Weird. I'm not concerned at the moment, but will pay more attention for sure.
