I made her a "wet bag," for her diaper bag. The inside material is waterproof, so it's ideal to put in wet or dirty baby items.
Ran up a quick burp pad, as we don't know if it's a boy or a girl, it's made in pretty neutral flannel.
I then made her this little clutch, it's big enough to put her cell phone, keys and some money in. I love the material it's aptly named Bollywood. I have had it ages and had "R" in mind when I saw it.
I don't remember what the inside fabric is and this "pattern" is one I made up.
I then did some cross stitch. The bunny and birdie are for dd's new baby, but the elephant was sewn for "R" as she loves elephants. The patterns are from Red Gate Stitchery, well worth checking out their things.
I have been doing cross stitch the longest, over 30 + years now. Followed by quilting/sewing then knitting. I think quilting/sewing is my favourite, followed by cross stitch, then knitting. What is your favourite craft?

Such beautiful gifts and stunning fabrics. I do so many different crafts but I think my all time favourite would be crochet, I find it so therapeutic followed by paper craft where you can immerse yourself completely.
Lovely items you made for your daughter.
The sewing arts and I are not friends. I prefer drawing, followed by painting and working with clay.
Love your work Gill and enjoy seeing what you are doing. I don't do crafts, I am a reader instead.
You have made a lovely selection of things for R, she'll love them all. I like trying all sorts of crafts, but crochet has to be my favourite.
Love the cross stitch animals and the bag!!
Not too sure what my favorite craft is. I have probably been knitting the longest and then sewing, then cross stitch....Lastly I am just learning how to quilt. I like them all as they keep me out of trouble. Well unless you get me in a yarn or fabric store that is.
God bless.
Wonderful gifts! I love them all, especially the bags. But what really caught my eye was the beautiful cross stitch. You do fabulous work.
Blessings,
Betsy
It shows that I've never had kids- I had to look up what a burp pad is.
That wet bag will be so useful! Much better than using plastic bags :)
great projects , me to, quilting is my love
Your so clever. They are beautiful. I'm sure she will love them all. Especially the cross stitches.
