Home and Office Space of the week and a book review.....

Well here we go again with The Home of the Week, this one is only $3 million!!  Have to admit, I would have never dreamt what the inside of the house looked like after looking at outside of the house.  The backyard is nice I guess.  The inside is not my thing, too much white for me.  I wouldn't want to have an accident with spaghetti sauce in there!!!  From the comments people made they think its a great price, I personally think it's way overpriced!!!

This week they are featuring an Office Space in the famous Flatiron Building in Toronto.  It is a gorgeous building and some of the original features are stunning especially the fireplaces and all the wood work.  Would I work there, heck yes, I just wouldn't want to commute down there everyday.  Fantastic views as well.  No idea if 64 a square foot is a good price or not though?

"When the Smoke Clears," by Lynette Eason

After a brush with death due to equipment failure, smokejumper Alexia Allen is ordered to take time off while the incident is under investigation. She makes a last-minute decision to recuperate at her mother's home and attend her high school reunion. Yet trouble seems to be following her, and within hours of arriving home she is confronted with murder, arson--and a handsome detective.

But the conflicts ahead are nothing compared to the ghosts of her past. As she struggles to accept and forgive her family's past, she must also decide if the secret she's been guarding for the last ten years must finally come to light.

This book had me hooked right from the start which is unusual.  You had to know what was going to happen next and it wasn't right until the end it was revealed "who did it," and then you still don't know all of it.  This is the first in a series of books, and I am assuming there will be at least three books in the series.

This was a book that was an easy read and the story kept you on your toes all the time and I found it interesting.  Although if everything that happened to Alexia in the space of a week to me, I would have to be hospitalized as I would be a nervous wreck!!!

Stars out of 5 : 5 great book, can't wait to read the next in the series, as I still need to know what on earth is going on..........

sounds a good book, I am trying to get back into reading more and try to read during my lunch break at work. So I like seeing reviews for books.

OMG it looks a bit like a hospital, I don't like it either! I don't know what property prices are in Toronto but it sounds as if it might be expensive. Anything in the millions sounds expensive! :)

I'm the opposite of you for the house Gill, I love the inside, but not the yard. For that price, I'd expect more landscaping and especially a nice lawn!!!

I like your Home of the Week feature! But I don't like THIS house - I don't like houses that look like they've been decorated by an interior decorator - they have no personality, very stark. The only thing I like about this house is its floor!

Interesting real estate, always have fun looking. The book sounds like one I would enjoy reading and it's now on my ever growing list. Thanks Gill, have a great weekend.
