Sorry..... and Today's Flower

Sorry I didn't get a post done for yesterday, but I have been feeling a little overwhelmed and tired with things this week. Its been so hot and humid, and I have suffered from it. Then add in Walter Henry to it all, it was all just a bit too much for me. Feeling a bit better now, as Walter Henry is settling in nicely and the weather is cooler.

However we have ran into a bit of a problem with Walter Henry, dh is allergic to him; I mean very allergic, his poor eyes are red raw and are running like mad. My eyes are itchy and my nose is itchy. As dh is on blood pressure medication I am not sure what he will be able to take, so I need to go to the pharmacy and see what is safe for him. So the jury is out at the moment whether or not we'll be keeping him. Otherwise Walter Henry is settling in just fine.

I took a couple of shots for the Today's Flower meme. I really need to understand how to use the Macro function on my camera properly, as sometimes I get good photos that are in focus, other times I just can't get them in focus properly. It all seems very hitty missy to me. So I am guessing it's me not the camera that is the problem?

Maybe you could try wiping him down with pet wipes to try and cut down on the dander...

I hope it all works out, he looks so handsome.

You did well with the shots. I am still getting to know my camera. But sometimes, my daughter is always around, it is easier to pop the question and get an answer right away without reading the manual. Good luck with your photography.
P.S. Your cat is cute.

I hope you can keep him too -- DH and I are both allergic. DH is also on BP meds and he takes Reactine (or the generic brands of that available in the pharmacy). It helps -- hope you find one that will help your DH.

Nice post for Today's Flower! I have seen the first one a lot, a sweet tiny little flower.

About the macro frustration: Have you checked if your camera is OK? If you have a macro function it should be working! You should have one or maybe two flowers to choose from.

Have a great week!

Beautiful flowers, nice photo. I love macro but it does take some practice, just experiment a lot.

William Henry is so adorable, I do hope you can keep him. I am somewhat allergic to Miss Cindi Lou also but antihistimine keeps it under control. You might check with your local vet for ways to cut down on the dander.

Those are really nice. I've found that, at least with my camera, sometimes the macro feature doesn't always focus on what you want and then the shot comes out blurred. For example, if my background has both dark and white spots, if the object I focus on is before the white part it may focus on the white background. I move my focus of the object in front of the darker background and it will focus correctly.

Sometimes you just have to move it ever so slightly.
