Devil Cat (aka Rhubarb), decided it would be fun to jump on the headboard, just as I was dropping off too sleep on Saturday night.
Then at 5 am start meowing, just because she can. Never heard a peep from Olive!
Someone is admiring herself:
She was as good as gold..........well as good as any 18 month old is, when they have VERY selective hearing!!! When Nana got home at lunch time on Sunday, she had something to eat and then went to bed for an hour..........could have stayed there all afternoon, truth be told.
Did go grocery shopping later in the day so closed off the month of May. As usual was over, but it was a five week month for me. Ended up spending $384.25, with savings of $58.92. Luckily it's not the end of the world if I go over my monthly budget of $350, BUT once in a while I would love to be under budget!!
I did manage to make up a menu plan for the week. It's such a help when I do that.
Sorry about the quality of the photo. I haven't made scotch eggs in ages, so thought that would be good, as I have both eggs and sausage meat. Also saw on tv someone making Pan Haggarty, so thought I would give it a go, may just have some salad with it.
Have you made a menu plan for the week? Do you have a "devil-eyed cat?" Do you know someone who likes to look at themselves in the mirror?

It seemed simple enough, put Nora down for a nap............
Dd told me all I had to remember was:
- Close the blind
- Turn the swing onto number 4
- Turn the sleep sheep onto rain
So me and Nora wander upstairs and all is good. Close the blind - check. All is still good. Place Nora in the swing and manage to get her strapped in. Nora not very happy by now! Manage to find the switch and the number 4 and turn it on. Didn't have my glasses on so took a minute. Nora REALLY not happy now. Thank goodness I strapped Nora in as now she is letting the whole neighbourhood know this was not her idea to go down for a nap and is trying to escape.
Meanwhile as her Nana left the door partly open Olive and Rhubarb made an appearance, as poor Olive seemed very concerned with the fact that Nora was screaming blue bloody murder!! So I chase out the cats and find the bloody sleep sheep and turn it on. Now due to the lack of glasses, I couldn't see the word rain, but at least it was making a noise.
Figured as Nora was not happy I would take her out of the swing. The only problem with that I couldn't figure out how to open the straps and couldn't see it probably as I didn't have my glasses on. I finally get her out and decide after rocking her to put her in the crib in front of the aquarium; that was simple to turn on.
That calmed her down watching that. Then dd materialized to see what I was doing and decided that no Nora would not go to sleep in her crib and she would put her back in the swing which was still swinging minus baby, as I couldn't see the switch to turn it off.
I go back downstairs exhausted and ready for a nap myself. Oh and it was at this point I discovered my glasses were on top of my head!!
And finally here is the little angel herself!!
And yes "The Princess Has Arrived," and has her wrapped around everyone's little finger!!

Miss Nora
I thought Miss Nora looked very "French" in her outfit the other day, don't you?
Dd put Miss Nora down on the bed next to Olive......don't worry she is never left alone with the cats.In fact Rhubarb has no interest what so ever in Miss Nora. Olive will go outside her bedroom door if she is crying and want to be in to have a look and make sure dd is looking after her. She will walk past her and take a look at her while she is in her seat or swing.
Dd was painting the other day when Rhubarb accidentally walked into the paint tray full of paint. What happened next was like a comedy of errors. Poor Rhubarb had a total melt down. Luckily dd was able to catch her before she went upstairs and walk over all the hardwood floors and carpet. Dd and her hubby, put her in the laundry tub and for some reason shut the door behind them. Rhubarb made such a carry on you would have thought they were killing her. Meanwhile Olive is on the other side of the door making as much noise, so they had to let Olive in to shut her up.
All in all it was a stressful time for poor Rhubarb, but she survived and as dd said she will no doubt do it again the daft cat!! The only thing that was damaged was dd pants she was wearing as Rhubarb got paint all over them.

Rhubarb and Olive..........
Haven't mentioned our furry grand babies for a while so thought I'd show you some photos I was sent at the end of August of them.
Look at those eyes on Olive, she looks ticked off to say the least. She is getting white hair amongst her black age.
Rhubarb looks as though she has just woken up
Love this one of them both snuggling together. In reality Rhubarb is snuggling into Olive and for some reason Olive is putting up with her.
My comment when I saw these photos, was "I wish you guys would make an effort and make your bed!!!" Once a mother, always a mother........
I saw this on a blog and thought it was the neatest thing a cat enclosure.

Olive and Rhubarb............
Heading to see dd and son-in-law today, as we haven't seen them since Christmas, so thought I'd share the latest photos of their "children" Olive and Rhubarb.
This is Olive asleep on her dad's leg.
And here is Rhubarb:
Enjoy your Saturday!
