I will split this into two posts, again not to overwhelm you with photos.
The Canada Museum of Nature is in a purpose built building that was built back in the early 1900's. With later additions to it.
I am a sucker for stained glass and this building's stained glass was gorgeous.
There is a special exhibition on until January 2027 called Wild Colour
"Wild Colour is an exhibition that explore the beauty and science of colour in the natural world."
Below is an example with the explanation in the photo below that.
In the basement was an exhibition of "creepy crawlies," my description, not theirs.....LOL Those were honking big cockroaches, just saying!! Bottom left of the photo.
These hissing ones did indeed hiss, I heard them!!
There was also a big gallery with dinosaurs. Could have done with having the boys with me, to explain in great detail what they were all about...LOL

The Earth Gallery was my favourite, but I didn't take any photos as it was odd lighting in there to highlight the rocks and minerals.
All in all it was a good museum. I think if you had children with you, a lot was geared to them. However there were a number of adults like us wandering around. Glad I went but wouldn't go back again.
Part 2 to follow.
