When we first moved to Canada, we moved to Brampton, Ontario. That was back in 1989. We live over an hour away, north of Brampton now. The city has multiplied in size at an alarming rate. What was farmland back then, is now subdivisions. The crime rate has shot up. What made us move out of the area, was they moved a lot of people from the "poorer" area's of Toronto to Brampton and that included a lot of gang members, albeit, younger people in their teens. The crime rate shot up and we just didn't feel as safe. We had an attempted break in at our house, and multiple people had their homes broken into...........and nine times out of ten, it was people in their teens.
Now we still have our family doctor in Brampton, so have to come down every now and then to see him. Thankfully we can also do telephone appointments with him now also. But the Brampton we moved to in 1989, has long gone. We loved living in Brampton back in the day, but now, no thank you!
