Social Distancing.............

Truth to be I am fed up to the back teeth with that phrase, but it's something we all have to do.

I am missing my grandchildren something awful and will say I do feel for all parents with children young and old, being stuck at home.  They do need to try and help their children to keep up with their school work along with everything else they have to do.  Will say the parents of our grands, are doing a great job.  Although we have not been officially told that school's will be closed until September, my guess is they will.

One thing I have been doing is texting over a letter everyday to two sets of grandchildren with tasks to do.  This is an example of what I have texted over:

I do this Monday through Friday, as even Nana's need a rest😃  Thank goodness for modern technology where we can see and talk to the grands through various means.

Again, "short term pain, for long term gain," comes to mind!!

Are you doing anything for your children or grand children to keep them busy/occupied?

I read my granddaughter a bedtime story over the phone. It was great. My neighbour plays chess online with his grandad at 4pm each afternoon. Let's use technology to strengthen family bonds

I mentioned previously I stole your idea, Great grands and Mum and Dad are happy I am sending projects for them to do. Mum, my granddaughter, taught her 10 year old to do cursive writing last Summer. Very hands on all the time. How she does it I dont know as she have FIVE children, (1 to 10 years). Patricia

Yes, Bean and I FaceTime and she is reading me a book over the phone. I am going to count it on my Goodreads list as an “audiobook”! Haha! She calls me frequently and we have done some Girl Scout stuff over Face Time. I just got a phone call, in fact, that she got bit by the snail she has made a pet and wondered if it was poisonous. So, we had to do a google search about snails. If we have to be going through this I am glad it is in this time of advanced technology otherwise I would be crazy by now.

This is really fun!
We have the grandies during the week, so we're pretty busy.

Since our sons are older I usually text or phone them. The youngest one, we (or at least one of us, usually me) goes up to see him with groceries and such. The oldest is going to get a small package from me at some point this week...if I can figure out when the Post Office is open and if I can actually mail something.

God bless.
