Why should I.......

......care if the house is clean, the laundry is done and there are meals on the table; but I do?

......say I am fine when people ask, rather than saying; no I'm not?

......agree to things, when really I don't want to do them?

Your turn.......why should I/you..........

Why should I pretend as if nothing happened and treat the idiot co-worker as usual?

Why should I pick-up the phone and call people who never care to call me but when I call, scold me for not calling frequently?

Why should I keep on meeting a bunch of people on a regular basis despite the fact that these get togethers no longer make me happy?

Why should I be on the parish council when I no longer feel we are doing our best for the church community?

That's my big one and the one that is causing me the most grief. I am actually on two church councils, my own and the Deanery. I have been a member for years and now it is time to say.....goodbye. I plan on writing letters over the next while and divesting myself of these positions.

God bless.

Why should I continue to send gifts to relatives who never acknowledge them, let alone acknowledge me in any way?

Why should I continue to contact family members and initiate get togethers when they never contact me and are always too busy to get together?

Why should I - do a full time job and a part time job to make ends meet, when there are Kardashians in the world who do what?

Why should I - be polite and smile at customers who are rude and condescending, and quite frankly not always right!

Why should I - feel so guilty about saying yes to a morning break biscuit, because the woman I work opposite is a stick insect who weighs herself every morning.

I will stop at 3, but my goodness I could go on...

Good post!

Feel guilty for sitting/laying around while waiting for my body to heal. But I do.

Be silent while others have no problem stating their opinion, but I do to keep the peace.

Blessings,
Betsy

In the past, I have asked myself repeatedly why I should be polite to people who show themselves to be despicable. I have since resolved there is no point to doing so.

Keep my opinion to myself to save upsetting someone, but I do because I like to keep the peace.

The gift that keeps on giving part 2!

Not sure if you remember, but when we came back from vacation, we brought an extra gift back with us; a stomach bug!  I posted about it her...
