Lovely advertisement.......
I love that advert. The colours and the song is perfect. I have never been to Newfoundland and Labrador, but this advert makes me want to go. (IF YOU HAVE TIME, WATCH THE ADVERTS AFTER THE INITIAL ONE AS THEY TOO ARE LOVELY)
The song is sung by Catherine Allen from the group Fortunate Ones. You can read more about the group here. Personally I have never heard of her or the group, have you?

I actually heard her sing the song on the radio, I think it might have been "q" on CBC. It was mentioned at the time that it was going to be the new song attached to the NFLD/LAB adverts. They are just so beautifully done those adverts. I love to paint scenes from NFLD. I have close friends who go there every second summer from here in Ontario. I was first inspired by their photos and stories, but the adverts just put my inspiration over the top!
There are some new adverts for YUKON on TV lately that I suspect was done by the same group as the NFLD/LAB adverts. They have the same "feel" to them.
You should totally go!!! Newfoundland is beautiful. We did family tree research back in 2000 and wish we could get back again.
I love seeing the Newfoundland and Labrador ads, they are the very best. We are dreaming of a trip there.
I to like the add and the song to it . I find myself singing it now a days lol ! NFLD/LAB is on our bucket list of wonderful places in our wonderful country of Canada to visit . ! Have a good weekend !
Great ads for some beautiful places! My stepdaughter is moving from Vancouver to Ottawa this year, so when we visit her, I'll be talking DH into continuing east to some of those long very places and n the ads! 😉
