Thomas and Percy...........

We went to Strasburg to the have a ride on the train.
And who did we bump into; Thomas the Tank Engine:
and Percy......
There were so many excited children there.  We didn't go on those trains, we decided to go on the regular train.  We decided first class was the way to go:
Very comfy seats and air conditioned.  Plus there was a wood stove for the winter.

I will post more photos from the train ride.  We enjoyed it, but will admit to enjoying the looks on the little kids' faces when they saw Thomas or Percy.  If you want to learn more about the Strasburg Railroad Company, please click on this link.

Oh my goodness, my granddaughter Piper would have been beside herself. She adores Thomas and Percy. In fact, when we flew from Washington State to Washington DC in February, we bought her a little Percy engine and documented his travels all along the way. We sent her the photos as we traveled and she was thrilled. How fun for you to see all of the children.
Blessings,
Betsy

I remember when the grandkids loved Thomas the Tank Engine and had all the train track and engines. Such fun to see a life size Thomas and Percy, I'm sure the kids were awed at seeing them and then to have a ride in them would be fantastic. Wouldn't it be wonderful if trains today had those kind of seats they had in first class?

Lorelei used to be into Thomas and Friends...in fact, I think the last time they were here she got all her train stuff out and had tracks all over the living room.

I would love to ride the grown-up's train!

Hi Gill! I've not been feeling well this week, but remember seeing on FB, that you were close to my neck of the woods, Lancaster PA. I have a good friend that lives there, and I always have a great time when I go up to see her -- And I drive through Strasburg, and will admit that I didn't know about the trains. It looks like great fun for all ages! Glad you're enjoying your trip, and I'll look forward to more photos!

Thomas and Percy get around. Several times a year they can be seen chugging along the rail line that runs along Swan Bay, near Queenscliff. The Fat Controller waves you off with a flourish of his flag. Thomas must have lots of family members that look alike.
