When it's bitter cold outside........

You read a magazine and watch some tv.  On a side note no idea why I bought the O Magazine, as it's not my cup of tea?
Get a bit more of the baby quilt done.
Have a cup of tea and a snack and spend a little hours on the internet.
I did infact leave the house as I needed to get some material to bind the quilt.  So that means I must have got the quilt sewn together !!  My goal is to get it all done this week, so it's another job crossed off my list.

I also got gas (petrol) while out, paid 92.9 cents per litre Canadian.  How does that compare to where you live?

Finally feeling a lot better, BUT, nose feels as though it is stuffed up with glue....yes it's thick and yellow/green up there...TMI???  Voice still hoarse, and still not eating an awful lot, but that's no biggie as I need to lose weight.

The cost of petrol in the UK -? OMG - don't go there !
It's well known we pay some of the highest tax on petrol in the world, the last few months it started to come down in price due to the falling price of oil, but the last week I've noticed it creeping back up again.
I filled up yesterday and paid £1.05 per litre - that's still considered cheap here, the highest (so far) has been £1.40 - ouch.

Good Morning from Wuthering Wales! Not wanting to leave the house here either, combination of wild winds and hail ~ still ~~~ you are making a beautiful quilt there.
Gas is around ~ well, I'm not sure exactly, it is just horribly expensive, somewhere around £6.00 a gallon in old money.

Gas here is almost 1 dollar a litre. Congrats on getting the quilt done! I can understand not liking O magazine as that wouldn't be my preference either

Unleaded is approx 109.9 and Diesel 117.1 here in the UK - expensive! :)

Not the best way to loose weight & hope you feel better soon. Nasty when you can barely breath through your nose. x

Congrats on having done so much on the quilt already...even though you don't feel all that well. I like the price of your gas. Sadly, it's a bit more expensive in York Region.

Hope you are better soon!
I think petrol costs a lot here but since we live in London and rarely use the car I hardly ever put petrol in. Also, we buy it by the litre, which makes it seem somehow cheaper!

I noticed a price of $2.34 per gallon over the weekend...it has been a bit lower but is starting to climb again.

I can't wait to see your quilt...I am working on Lo's dress. Trying to take my time...

I don't read O either...in fact since the internet, I hardly buy magazines.

The last I looked, on Friday, gas was around a dollar a litre here.

As cold as it is, by this point the end of it can't be far off.

That quilt looks gorgeous.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
Petrol got cheaper here in the UK until last week, now it's on the up again. Surprise, surprise & the government keep telling us the cost of living is going down? What planet do they live on? Not the one I do!!!!

I paid 89.6 today, someone must have got an inside report that it would be going up as there was a long line up. In London this a.m. it was 102.6 so I received it at bargain price in my city.

Glad you are feeling better.

V amusing re: the whole losing weight when sick thing. I once started a new year in this way and had no need to diet, was excellent!

Ours is hovering around $2.09 per gallon right now. I cannot complain as it was closer to $4.00 last fall.

Your baby quilt is beautiful! :)

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Its about AUD 1.27/L for premium unleaded petrol (gas) at the moment and about $1.12 for normal unleaded. That's in the city. If you go inland you can add another 40 cents per litre.

I don't drive, I take public transit, but I do know that the gas prices here in Montreal have been pretty low...but at one point they had skyrocketed and were very high. The fact that they have been low of late worries some people, as they think that this is the 'calm before the storm'. Perhaps they are right, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

I like the way you spent your day, and the quilt is beautiful, Gill. The Oprah magazine is not one that I normally buy either, to be honest, but I love her show so perhaps you will find some good articles in it. I also love her TV network.

Hotel Stay - Dinner

As part of our hotel stay the kids had booked us dinner, breakfast and afternoon tea. Here is what we ate at dinner.  Everything was spot on...
