Another busy 'staycation" day....

The guy came to service the furnace, said it was very dirty.  Not sure when it was last serviced, so it was a good job, done......no idea how much it's going to cost, as they have to bill us.

Managed to get all our paperwork submitted for the passports, and got the photos taken etc.  Cost just under $200 for both passports, and should have them in 10 business days or less.

Went on a search for a vanity unit for the bathroom as well, but wasn't successful.  Have seen a couple I like, just have to figure out what will fit.

Plan on having a day in the house on Friday.  I need to do housework, and there are a couple of electrical jobs I want dh to complete.

Here are some more photos from our day out in Orillia.  They have these 7 foot guitars all over the town.  You can read more about them here.  To see more detail,  please click on the photos.

I like the last guitar best. Imagine what Gene Kelly could have done with that in the rain?

I hope you get some rest on YOUR vacation. Hubs is getting sick. I think his body just said, FINALLY, I get to take it easy -- and it crashed. And the worst two months of the year are right in front of him as soon as he gets back to work.

Sounds like you got a lot accomplished Gill. I enjoyed the photos of the guitars. When we visited Victoria, BC a while back there were several whales painted by various artists, and also eagles. I loved looking at each artists' interpretation. They were lovely. In Yellowstone there were life sized buffaloes. In DC they have at various times had pandas, elephants and donkeys (for each political party I suppose. I've enjoyed walking around all of them. Haven't seen anything now in a while but I think it's a lovely addition to any city. Enjoy your day.

Those guitars are lovely! There is a similar concept near in my granparents' town in South Carolina except in their case, it's statues of horses!

Looks like "Guitar Town".

Now spring has arrived we are going shopping for a replacement gas heater and may even change the electric oven and stove top for a gas model - electricity costs are going through the roof here!
