A bit of this, and a bit of that........

Tuesday was a super warm day, with temperatures up in the 80's.  I personally prefer temperatures in the high 60's, low 70's.

In amongst everything else I did on Tuesday I put together another Sudoku birthday card I had been working on.  This time I did the numbers in green so they are easier to read.
I also emptied three more boxes of "stuff" into the spare bedroom closet; it's only taken me a year and a half!!!  Most of it was my sewing stuff and scrap booking stuff; which is sort of strange as I am not a fan of scrap booking, but do have a ton of photos that need to be put into albums at some point.

I had to talk to Dufferin County on Tuesday to see if they had a permit on file for a septic system for the new extension; they don't.  However she did say something surprising though.  I gave her our tax roll number and she says that our house was built in 1909.  Now the house was sold to us as being built in 1907, and when I went to the archives it stated the house was built in 1911?  So your guess is as good as mine as to when the house was actually built.  Of course back then you wouldn't need a permit to build a house.

Wednesday is going to be a super busy day for me, but the good news is I should be at least toothache free by mid afternoon when I get my root canal finished.  Although I will no doubt be hurting over how much the bloody thing cost!!!  Anyhow I want to be out of the house by 8:30am and hope to be home by 3pm, so another total waste of a day!!!  One of these days I am going to have a full day in the house doing housework........just don't know when!!

I would say that the truth lies here: the house was started in 1907 and finished in 1911. How does that sound? I think you are very brave buying such an old house over there but although it has been a challenge, you and dh have proved beyond all doubt that you are both up for it! I have enjoyed reading about your journey.
Blessings, Star

Don't worry about the housework Gill, it'll be there when you get back, unless Molly does it for you! :-)) Hope all goes well at the dentist!

Lovely card. Hope you're feeling ok after your dentist visit.

Be brave, my 8 year old had to have some teeth removed under general anaethetic, but didn't get anything to numb the area. Braver than I would have been.

No matter what the age of your house is, it looks as if it is in better condition that some of the houses(wrecks) I see on some of the UK TV housing shows. Hope your tooth and pocket book does not hurt too much.
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I am doing OK, but I still can't bring myself to open the envelope that contains OH's Death Certificate, will have to do it soon, so that I can take care of all the things that need to be done.

Firstly, Gill thanks for your comments. When you read this you will be pain free! (yahoo!). The log splitter was bought at TSC and was just shy of $400. It is a breeze to use; I can handle it!It has wheels and a handle (like a suitcase) so it is easily moved.
Yes, I think the mice will think they have a luxury condo too!I hope they stay in there instead of moving into the house for the winter. When we first moved in here we were trapping four a day. The cats seem to keep them away now.
Take care
Jane

Hope your tooth feels better soon. As for the Bell TV bill, you should adjust that if you don't watch much TV - sounds like you have the full package. We have 3 channel bundles & basic and only pay about $60 per month. We also have Bell phone and internet so get bundle discpounts there too.
