KonMari method anyone?

On Frugal Queen's blog on Thursday she was talking about the KonMari method of folding.  Personally I had no idea what so ever what she was talking about.  So I watched the You Tube video that she posted with interest:

As I am still sick and most things tire me out, I thought an hour of t-shirt folding wouldn't kill me.  Here is the before and after photos.

Before:

After:
Took me all of 20 minutes to sort them out and fold them and I have a lot of extra space; plus I can see things better.

She has a book called: The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
Did you know there is even a You Tube video on how to fold your socks correctly?

I was quite surprised at how many organizational videos there were on You Tube.  I quite liked this one.

Saw this article on Facebook on 37 Clever Ways To Organize Your Entire Life With Ikea it's quite good and interesting.

All I need to do now is do these things.  Are you organized?

I am working on being more organised. A big part of it is having less things to organise in the first place so blitzing the clutter is job one x x

Reading that book this week as a matter of fact, will have to check out the videos though

I was reluctant to catch on these new-fangled methods but I love your post; might have a go myself. Must always bow down to the Queen after all ! xx

I have bookmarked that video to watch later. I have been folding my drawer contents in this way for years, but had no idea it had a name! The only problem I have with making more space is I then have to go find stuff to fill it! lol ~~~Deb in Wales

I'm always TRYING to be more organized. No, I'm not no matter how much I try.

I tried that method for my drawer and it was a disaster. Once I started taking stuff out to wear, it was all falling over. Took longer to put stuff away. Maybe I will try again after we move.

I will have to watch the videos...I love that stuff in general

I love that pantry in the last...wish I had one that big! I love some of her ideas in that one.

I thought the t-shirt video was going to be this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAxhr0j0thY

I am going to have to start checking

I am reading the same book and posted about it a couple of days ago. I need to read the chapter on organizing craft junk. I think I am going to organize it all into a donation bin! Isn't this method of folding nice? I am thinking it works well.

Hi Gill! THanks for the follow!
I love the idea, but not sure if I can do it. I'm not the most organized person... I like to THINK I am, but I'm really not.
Maybe someday when things slow down a little!

I'm definitely not organised. No matter how hard I try I seem to mess things up. I can't even keep the kitchen tidy my cupboards are serious! Maybe I should move.

That is organized. Am I organized? Well, I do like things corner to corner, and I like the look of how she folds her socks.

I worked in the clothing department of a large Zellers department store and I had to learn how to fold the cloths correctly for displays and recovery of the store by the end of the night when the store closed to the public and that was 6 years ago and I still fold my cloths that way at home lol ! Hope you feel better soon ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day !

I love the idea of folding t-shirts like that. It certainly makes it easier to choose something to wear!
