Today's Flower

I just wanted to remind myself that Winter will be over eventually, and I will be able to pick flowers from my garden. Mind you this photo was taken July 1st, 2008.....so have a bit to go. These are obviously Sweet Peas the perennial kind that come up year after year. No fragrance as such and no variation in colours, but pretty all the same.

Sweet Peas were one of my great grannies flowers. I love them too. Thanks for just a wee bit of spring (well at least we can think about it).

Love sweet peas, my Mother-in-law had them in assorted colors.

You asked about our age, we got married on July 12th, 1955. I turned 19 on Oct. 27th, and Abe turned 21 on Oct. 25th. Our first baby came June 1st, 1956 (Angela), second baby came May 10th, (Christopher) 1957, third baby came July 5th, 1958,(Melinda) then I had gall bladder surgery in Oct. of 58 and then in April of 59 they had to explore and drain the gall ducts and remove adhesions. The fourth baby came on March 7th of 1962 (Rebecca). Things were going great, no surgeries, feeling good, looking good, the kids were getting older, like 17, 16, 15 and 11 and I discovered I was pregnant again. She arrived on June 27th, 1973 (Melissa). Surprise! This past Oct. I turned 72 and Abe turned 74. We have five grandchildren, ages, 26, & 25, belong to our only son that lives in Fl, 16, 10 and 8, belong to three different daughters. One daughter has never married and has no children. So that's our gang. LOL

We have a ways to go but it's nice knowing it's ahead of us now and not behind us!
Lovely blooms.

I absolutely loved the YouTube dance video below. It put a smile on my face.
