I just wanted to say I really appreciate all the comments I receive and that you take time out of your busy day to visit me.
I am super busy at the moment with some projects that I want to get on with. I am finding that I just don't have time to do everything, so the one thing I am cutting back on is visiting everyone's blogs. It's not that I don't want to visit your blogs, I do, but its a case of there isn't enough time in the day to do everything. So if I don't visit your blogs as often as I used to, it's not that I don't care, I am just busy. I hope you'll understand? I will be doing a post on my blog everyday as normal.
One project I finished today was my cross stitch picture. It's a teddy bear, and the first photo is before I did the finishing off.
When Doreen, the lady who taught me to cross stitch, she always stressed to make sure the back was as neat as the front, here is the back of this one....it could be a lot neater!!!
So anyhow, I got it finished and this is what it looks like with the border.
I got the kit from this magazine, it's a British one, which sells for 3 pounds and 75 pence in Britain, it cost me around $13, which is around 6 pounds and 50 pence!!!
Today, I am going shopping for material at a store I haven't visited before, they are having a really good sale, so I am looking forward to that, and will post when I get later on in the week.
I am a British born, living in Canada since May of 1989. My blog is about all aspects of my daily life.

Embroidery! Yet another of life's little pleasures that has passed me by! I do appreciate other peoples' work though.
Your cross stitch is just lovely, and don't worry about visiting, I haven't been around many blogs for a week!! had an assignment to do for Uni and just didn't have the time. take care Fiona
I made this one and turned it into a little ornament for an exchange. He is lovely isnt he. The back looks great..it is impossible to get it as neat as the front, and as long as you dont have loose threads or long strands of thread gong from one are to another, which could show through...you are doing perfectly!
Well done...
like the teddy- he's lovely. Hope you find the time to pop by more often soon, when your jobs are sorted out.
That is an adorable cross-stitch! Love it!
Hey, don't make yourself feel that you have to get to every blog every day. I've been a real irregular poster...and I tend to make the blog rounds the same way. When I have an extra hour I get everywhere I can (it often leads me down other roads lol). Cutting back is certainly understandable, though :) I'll still read you.
beautiful Gill! i love to crossstitch.
Not enough time is why i haven't started a blog lol! eevlyn
I understand completely about not having enough time to get everything done. By the way, your cross stitch is beautiful.
Cute Gill... I love cross-stitch. I have a good friend who is GREAT at it. BUT--my talents certainly aren't in that area. Besides I can't cross stitch while typing on the 'puter!!!! ha ha
I'll just admire your work--which I do!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Very nice finished product. Good job of the cross stiching. I did it once, don't remember now how to do it.
Oh I love him - how cute. Stop by whenever, the door is always open. Life does get in the way sometimes, doesn't it?
Kris
That looks lovely.
I don't worry about the back too much. As long as the front looks OK I'm happy.
you did a great job!
thanks for all your comments, really appreciate them.
Gill
Darling project! Soooo cute! I LOVE to cross-stitch too! I did a ton of projects before my children were born and have it lovingly put away until the season of life when I can return to it. And I really miss it too. I hope my eyes will still be good then... ha ha
l enjoy x stitch too...keep showing yours completed...its lovely.
Lovely Gill - do you have something on the go all the time. You certainly show us some gorgeous things. It has reminded me of a cross stitch kit that I have - may well find it and get going!
A x
