Today's Flower

Well as we are in Canada and in the middle of winter, flowers are few and far between. However I picked up four amaryllis bulbs on sale for 94 cents each after Christmas and finally one of them is flowering. Now granted it's not fully out, but at least it is starting to flower. So this is my contribution to today's meme. Also do you remember back on January's 4th post I wrote about how I was given a bunch of flowers by my neighbour on December 29th? Well just wanted to say they are still looking good. So that will be three weeks tomorrow.

I would bet that you feel warmer just looking at those blossoms. Just wait until they all bloom!

Nice idea since it is so cold outside. Warming shots.

Beautiful, Gill. They are so pretty to have especially in the winter when fresh flowers are few and far between.

Wonderful amaryllis! So you have some beautiful red colour around! The pink carnations are very delicate. Amazing how long they lived!
Thanks for your visit on my blog, oh, the winter is a burden, I'm also longing for summer, or spring... Had to post summer pictures today, now I feel better!

I LOVE to have something blooming in the winter. We have quite a bit of snow on the ground, so anything blooming is cheerful.

Thanks for sharing your lovely bloom.
