Skywatch Friday........

I took these photos on Monday December, 29th. The sun was rising and it was such a brilliant sunrise. (If you click on the third one, you will see a plane)

Fantastic sunrise!
A beautiful sight and especially beautiful because I have so seldom seen the sunrise for several weeks now, high fog makes for very gray days.

I hope you are at least beginning to feel better, good luck!

There is much warmth and peacefulness in your sunrise photos. The plane is rising as the sun is rising taking us to new horizons.

Really a great sunrise, Gil! Lovely photos!
We had some glazed frost on the trees and meadows, but no snow, some hazy clouds in the blue winter sky :)
Happy SWF and New Year to you!

Very dramatic! I love how the rising kind of distorts the disc and then as it gets a bit hit - perfectly round!

You asked about Sew Sisters? Just go prepared to have a great time. It's a super store -- I love going there! If our car wasn't going into the shop on Monday for who knows how long, I'd be on my way up there too!

Isn't it amazing how much faster the sun seems to move when it's on the horizon like that? Doesn't matter if it's rising or setting, with the horizon there for reference, you can literally watch it go!

Lovely series. But please do be careful about looking through the lens straight on into the sun like that. A photographer's eyes are his or her most valued asset and must be protected at any cost!

Excellent captures of a special sunrise. Funny how the sky actually seems to get darker as the sun gets higher up. I guess it's the clouds also rising up at the same time. Love the last image best.
Happy new sky watching year.
