I made this storage box this morning. One of the sites I go on, one of the ladies Quasimodo posted about making these storage boxes, and posted the link to the tutorial Here is a link to Crazy Mom Quilts blog who did the tutorial.
As the tutorial explains everything so easily, I didn't do one for my blog. However a couple of things I did/didn't do are, I did not make the pocket on the front, as I didn't have the plastic. I used a light weight cotton fabric for the inside, but a heavier weight fabric for the outside. I also used the cardboard inside as it strengthens the box. I made it in the six inch size and am pretty pleased with it. You could just use scraps of fabric to make it all and it would still look great. Basically you can make this as fancy or as plain as you want.
I am a British born, living in Canada since May of 1989. My blog is about all aspects of my daily life.
