Skywatch Friday..........

A little background first on this weeks skywatch. We live in a large city, in a large subdivision. Where they built this subdivision it used to be farm land. They actually decided to leave this tree, which was a blessing and they have built a park around it.

(click on photos for more details)

All these photos were taken from below the tree.

Ilove that the tree is the centerpiece, as a tribute to days gone by.

Lovely photos :)

It's a pretty tree, and it provides a nice frame for the soft skies.

The trees are beautiful together with the serene sky, not to forget there is a little suburbia behind all this nature!

That tree looks huge when the photo is enlarged...it sort of reminds me of how around here thee will be a huge corn or bean field with one single lone tree in the middle of it.

At least they left a tree and some green space. Nice sky shot your tree provides.

Oooh, do you love taking pictures of the sky through trees too. I thought I was the only one fascinated by this.

Lovely pics.

Trees are so important for us. They give us oxygen, shade in the summer and beautiful colours in autumn. They are the homes for many animals and cannot be missed. There are countries where you are only allowed to cut a tree if you plant a young one in its place.
Your tree is very beautiful!
Thanks for your visit! Have a nice weekend!

What a beautiful tree! Here in England when they build on farmland they have to leave most of the trees (and the government gives many of them protection orders).

A beautiful tree and left for all to enjoy! They should leave more trees when they build. It should be a law.

It's so nice that they saved some of the trees. Most new housing areas are leveled before construction begins. I'm in Canada too. I invite you to come see my sky views from the BC Ferry to Powell River. -- Margy
