These photos were taken on Tuesday night (26th.) We were forecast for rain for a couple of days and these were the clouds rolling in. I loved the way there seems to be layer upon layer of thick clouds. I am sure there is a name for these?

These are beautiful billowing stratocumulus clouds. Wonderful! They almost look like mammatus.

To answer your question, my photo was taken last weekend. I don't trust the weather to behave so I run out with my camera when the skies look pretty. LOL

We have that kind of glummy sky spirit almost two weeks now with a bit of break of sun now and then, and in between.
