because I got to spend the day at home. There was one down side, and that was we had to call out the heating guy as the furnace was playing up. We had problems with it on Tuesday, but thought it had sorted itself out, but it hadn't. It turned out to be a dirty sensor, which he cleaned and we got charged $115 for the pleasure of him coming out.
I spent the morning doing some cooking. I took a pound of ground beef out of the freezer and make some shepherd's pies. Enough to feed us four meals. I added plenty of veggies to make the meat stretch and we had one on Sunday night, with pickled beets, that my dad had put up. It was yummy.
As the house was cold due to no heat, I decided to bake a lemon poppy seed cake. That too was yummy, and it warmed the house up a little bit. Dh put what info we have into the computer for our taxes. So hopefully we'll get the rest of info this week, so we can file and get our refunds.
The afternoon was spent relaxing and we even went for a short walk to blow out the cobwebs. I took some photos for Watery Wednesday while we were walking. I will admit though, no packing was done...oh no!!!! We did get some paperwork sorted out which is a start I suppose!!
Also are you still keeping up with the Daily Savings Club? You should have $6.75 in your pot as of today.

I always find it pointless packing till abut a week before because you are guaranteed to need something you have packed lol

On a diff note, I made your blueberry and yoghurt muffins on Thursday...the kids loved they and this recipe has usurped my usual one.

when I moved the first time after 30 years in the same home I thought i had throw/given away enough stuff when I finally moved would have not too much stuff! ONO not me! and my beloved hubby-he was such a collector!
now we have stuff in NJ, MD & Fla. it never ends!
More importantly, the furnace wasn't acting badly when you showed your house-or during inspection. Nobody wants to spend that much money on a furnace repair to a home they are leaving, but that little blip could have cost you a sale. Consider yourself blessed-I know I would.
Oh my you must have spent a chilly morning until the heater guy came by - so rainy yesterday - a real snuggle sort of day.
Sounds like a very enjoyable Sunday. Glad the furnace only needed to have the dust blown off a sensor.
Sounds like a nice day.
