My lovely neighbour gave us a beautiful bunch of flowers on Monday (29th), I wonder how long they will last? I love the reflection in the mirror.

I love carnations and tried to grow them a couple of times. Those are really pretty and a great shade of pink.
So sweet and very gentle pink color. Thank you for your visit and greetings from Croatia.
You've got a very nice neighbor. What a nice gesture in the middle of winter.
I love fresh flowers. Can't wait for spring and summer when I can pick my own!
Love carnations, the wonderful scent and your beautiful flowers should last for a week.
Nice neighbours;)
- Cheers.
That's a lovely present. Touch of spring.
I love carnation pink! So sweet of your neighbor!
Carnations are such happy flowers. You can make them last longer by changing their water every day, and trimming the ends of the stems 1/8 inch every three days.
Enjoy them and your wonderful neighbor.

They are beautiful. Carnations seem to last a long time, if you put fresh water on them every day.
Very nice! The flowers and your neighbour.
Happy 2009!
I love the smell of carnations too. It's a flower that seems to last and enhance our surroundings for a long time.
Hi Gill

Hope you have a Happy 2009!

I wonder what nice things you do for your neighbous that you get such a lovely gift. You certainly get double the enjoyment with the mirror behind them.
If you remove spent blooms, add a little flower fresh to the water, and keep the stems clear of slime, (it helps to remove all the lower leaves), and occasionally as you change the water cut the emds of the stems off, they could last up to two weeks.
very nice neighbor they are lovely.
They are truly lovely! I'd like to have one in my house. This bunch made your house more lovely.
Hello :-) Strawberry Jam Anne sent me a personal recommendation to visit your blog. Glad she did, I love it. And what a treat to see the carnations. They're a real child-hood memory as one of my mother's favourites. Happy New Year. I look forward to visiting more often. :-D
Very beautiful flow Gill, a sweet gift from your neighbor and a great photo! I love the reflection too. Did I wish you Happy New year yet? If not, Happy New Year!
Love the reflection in the mirror!
Sweet neighbor.
