Hibernating weather..........

Summer has arrived and for the next week we will be having temperatures in the low to mid 30's (oC) or low 90's (oF) with the heat and humidity.  So that means I will be hibernating all week.  The older I get the less I can stand the heat and humidity.  I am so lucky that I do not have to work outside, but anything I have to do outside will be done first thing.

I think the video below says it all.

What is the weather like with you?

Our weather will be quite similar to yours, and I'll be camped in front of the a.c.!

That was one of my fave songs in bygone days!

Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city

All around, people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head

Our weather is much the same as yours. I think we are due to reach our first 100 F day this week which is pretty good considering it is already mid-July. A couple of years ago we had our first 100 F day in April -- that wasn't a good year. I am with you though, I can't take the heat now like I could when I was younger.

I love those early mornings prior to a hot day.

Summertime is hot here, usually from June through mid October.. Some days are more unbearable than others, but you just dress in cotton, wear sunscreen and pull your hair back. I did think my neighbor was going to have a heat stroke mowing his lawn in the middle of the afternoon. That is an early morning or late afternoon job here.

The heat and humidity really gets to me, too. As far as heat, our summer had not been as hot as normal...still some days the humidity is awful. We have just had so many rainy days. Farmers are really going to lose a lot of their crops, or not get some planted at all.

The heat is very temporary in Canada, so I can put up with it. It's the long and cold winters that I have a hard time dealing with as I get older! I'm so tired of them.

It's been sunny here and warm but we have had the benefit of a cooling breeze every now and again. Very welcome.

Oh it's so disgusting up here too. I'm counting down the days until the nice weather comes back! Luckily it's been cooling off at night so we can get the humidity out of the house. I sure wish we had central air. The only good thing is it's great corn growing weather.

It's been a bit hot and sticky today, but nowhere near your temperatures, stay cool xx

we have similar weather but like Martha, it is temporary, it is the winters that get me. Can't hibernate, my office at work is nice and car has AC but house doesn't.

Completely the opposite as expected. We are hibernating from the cold, one of the coldest weekends for a long time. There is an Antarctic mass moving across the eastern side of Oz at the moment. Low 30's Gill!!! Too funny, thats a nice summer day. Want to try low 40's? or in central Oz low 50's.

Our weather is much the same, we even have humidity which is really strange.

I haven't really felt like working all week so I hope this next one sees a return of my energy level.

God bless.

And of course our cold weather is coming from the South (Antarctic) and not the North (Arctic) as I think I suggested lol

We're relatively close to you, so it is the same weather- hot and humid. I picked up one of the newspapers this morning, and the cashier asked if I was ready for another day of heat. I said I was ready for minus thirty.
