First for this week is a photo of the pond with two geese there. These "darling" geese are a couple, and as Spring is here they are mating and HONKING........and boy do they honk a lot. I was on the phone the other day and one of them was on the our rooftop and the other on my neighbours rooftop, and they were busy honking back and forth for ages. They were that loud, it was hard hearing the conversation on the other end of the phone!!!
I took this second one, as I was thrilled to see the water flowing. There is still ice on the main ponds, but it is nice to see open water, finally.

I love to go and feed the ducks and geese at a nearby lake and park.
Have a great rest of the week
Love, Jess
I'm laughing about the honking but I'm sure that wasn't funny to you in the least. They are loud. It must be nice to live somewhere wher you see one season break and give way to another.
Oh you are lucky you get to be their neighbor. I would love to hear a HONK at least once. :D
I like that they see their reflections in the water--nice!

And the thaw has begun. Hopefully.
You're right about the volume level of those geese. I don't know if it's a mating season thing or not, but those suckers are loud!
Great shots Gill. Yes it's lovely to see the changes around us, letting us know that Spring is almost here.
Your geese have obviously heard 'It pays to advertise'!
Honk, Honk, Honk... I suppose it was a bit annoying. The photos are great, just love the moment I see in it.
Love the geese on the pond. I've noticed just in the last couple of days that two seem to have chosen my neighbor's pond. I did see them fly over my yard this week so I'm hoping the pair will hang nearby.
As much as I like your geese I LOVE the running water through the grass - best enjoyed by enlarging in case somebody didn't.
My Watery Wednesday post is at Carletta’s Captures.
Brings back memories of when I was growing up---many years ago! Then it was easy to find unspoiled spots like these.
Melting is always a good sign. Must confess I was giggling about the honking geese!
Beautiful golden light!
So, in awhile you may have some little goslings to photograph. That would be worth all that honking. ;-}
Honk! Honk!
Glad to see that spring is coming in your area. The geese and ducks can get very loud at this time of year :-)
wonderful photos!! i don't have geese close enough to be annoyed by all the honking, but i have the redwings in the marsh!!not so loud!
isn't it wonderful to see moving water again!!!
Yup ... geese can be loud for sure! Spring is definitely on the way for you.
Hugs and blessings,
Stalking? looks like they are enjoying it there...
