Its been years since I've visited Angel Oak...it was once a favorite picnic are for us, before the world found her and started removing bits and pieces as a souvenier. I understand she's fenced off from the world now. Pity that. Pity that people couldn't keep their cotton pickin' hands off her so we could all still picnic beneath her branches.

There are a few "hairy trees" around here. I don't know if they're the same kind or not but the foliage growing on them are not part of the tree - must be some invasive plant that takes them over and stays green throughout the cold winter.
My own pictures of them didn't come out very well, though. Yours are fabulous!
