Dh bought me a bunch of flowers back on the 10th of October (when this photo was taken).
Today is the 26th of October and here is what the flowers look like now:
They should last until later in the week, which means I should get around 3 weeks from them which isn't too bad as we do have the heating turned on. However I do change the water every other day and they are kept in the living room, which does tend to be a bit cooler than the rest of the house.

Very pretty flowers..
Hope you can enjoy them for many more days.
- Cheers.
I can't believe they are still so pretty. What a nice gift from Dh. I might have to hint to mine mid winter for some of the same.... great bouquet.
Hi Gil,
Your flowers are still very pretty after three weeks. That is pretty good. I used to put an aspirin in the water every time I changed it, and that keeps them fresh longer too.
Thank you for visiting my humble blog. I always enjoy new visitors. I hope you pop over and visit again! Your blog is very nice, so I will be back.
Hugs and blessings,
Renie
Good luck with keeping them fresh. So pretty.
That is a beautiful bouquet! They must have been very fresh and you have looked after them well to make them last as long as they have! What a lovely gift!
WRT snow on my purple coneflower ... it snowed here (near Gravenhurst) last Monday and it lasted for a couple of days. Today it is pouring rain!
What a beautiful bouquet of flowers! It's wonderful that they've lasted so long - only with your good care, I think.
i also received a flower delivery last week but unfortunately, they are not for me. it's for the old lady next door. ;)

That's the kind of flowers I like to receive. (ones that don't die in two days).
You've been taking very good care of them, and it shows.
Thanks for visiting my blog, come by any time you like.
Three weeks is quite a long time for a bouquet of flowers. Very nice!

WOW what beautiful colours very nice job Dh & good job to you Gill for looking after them so well. They wouldn't look that good after 3 weeks of Aussie weather not here in Queensland anyway.Caroline
That's a lovely bouquet, still. I love cut flowers, and would have them in the house often, but my cats like them, too, but not necessarily in the vase!
they are lovely and I am glad they are lasting well
Lucky girl! Enjoy them while they last.

Rambling Woods
still very beautiful, thanks for the visit..
I've heard about people put one tablet of paracetamol in the water to make the flower last longer.
That first frame is just bursting with color! You've done very well to preserve them.
Beautiful flowers! I always make sure to buy flowers during weekends too:) And hope they stay fresh for a couple of days!
Mine is up HERE. Hope to see you there! Happy TF!~
Wow, that is amazing. I rarely have flowers last that long. The only thing I have had last any length of time is orchids...but they are so expensive. And....How LOVELY, that you got flowers.
Wandered into your blog and have spent a happy half hour drinking tea and reading! Lovely blog.
Chris
Very pretty, and thanks for visiting me. Come back again soon and so shall I.

Those ought to keep the beauty around the house for a while. I envy you.
Very, very nice!

Very pretty arrangement. Yeah, if you get a great selection of flowers you can weed them out forever and each time you've got a new bouquet. :-)
The colors are brilliant!
What did you do to keep them so long...shellac them???
