Today's Flower

Dh bought me a bunch of flowers back on the 10th of October (when this photo was taken).

Today is the 26th of October and here is what the flowers look like now:

They should last until later in the week, which means I should get around 3 weeks from them which isn't too bad as we do have the heating turned on. However I do change the water every other day and they are kept in the living room, which does tend to be a bit cooler than the rest of the house.

Please click on this link for more of Today's Flower's photos.

I can't believe they are still so pretty. What a nice gift from Dh. I might have to hint to mine mid winter for some of the same.... great bouquet.

Hi Gil,

Your flowers are still very pretty after three weeks. That is pretty good. I used to put an aspirin in the water every time I changed it, and that keeps them fresh longer too.

Thank you for visiting my humble blog. I always enjoy new visitors. I hope you pop over and visit again! Your blog is very nice, so I will be back.

Hugs and blessings,

Renie

That is a beautiful bouquet! They must have been very fresh and you have looked after them well to make them last as long as they have! What a lovely gift!

WRT snow on my purple coneflower ... it snowed here (near Gravenhurst) last Monday and it lasted for a couple of days. Today it is pouring rain!

What a beautiful bouquet of flowers! It's wonderful that they've lasted so long - only with your good care, I think.

That's the kind of flowers I like to receive. (ones that don't die in two days).
You've been taking very good care of them, and it shows.
Thanks for visiting my blog, come by any time you like.

That's a lovely bouquet, still. I love cut flowers, and would have them in the house often, but my cats like them, too, but not necessarily in the vase!

I've heard about people put one tablet of paracetamol in the water to make the flower last longer.

Wow, that is amazing. I rarely have flowers last that long. The only thing I have had last any length of time is orchids...but they are so expensive. And....How LOVELY, that you got flowers.

Very pretty arrangement. Yeah, if you get a great selection of flowers you can weed them out forever and each time you've got a new bouquet. :-)
