Signs that Fall is just around the corner....

The crab apples on the flowering crab apple tree are starting to turn red.

The sedum is starting to turn red also.

The butternut squash is starting to ripen.

You are so right...fall is here. I love those garden pictures - I am a sucker for garden pictures and that squash, yum, butternut squash ginger soup, I can taste it now. Hope you had a great summer and hope you enjoy the bounty of fall. I planted my tomatoes too late (wanted to see how they would do in the greenhouse) so now they are there but green. I will have to pick them and see if they ripen in the window sill. Sigh!

Leaves are starting to turn a little here too. We had a ton of rain yesterday (the remnants of hurricane Ike), so the temps even feel quite fall-like today.

I love the colours of fall but dread the winter that is sure to follow. If only fall lasted till about February and then winter was over by April! :-)
I've just given you an award on my blog.
