A couple more photos from the wedding.
The wedding cake, please look at the wedding toppers, it goes with the theme "A Perfect Pair."
One of the tables in the venue. They overlooked the golf course and at night you could see the CN Tower (downtown Toronto) all lit up.
The small brown boxes is the jam wedding favour.
Tomato Chick Pea Salad
1 can (19 oz/540ml) Chickpea's, drained and rinsed
1 cup chopped parsley
4 Tomatoes, cut into large dice
1 cup chopped, Cucumber
6 green onions, sliced
1 cup Cheddar Cheese, cubed
Dressing:
1/3 cup olive oil
3 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 large clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp dried tarragon leaves
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp freshly ground mustard
pinch cayenne pepper
In a large bowl, combine chick peas, parsley, tomatoes, cucumber, onions and cheese.
Mix together oil, vinegar, garlic and seasonings to make dressing. Toss dressing with salad ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for several hours.
As with any recipes I post, change it up to suit you. I had a container of small grape tomatoes, so I used them, along with a whole cucumber. I didn't have parsley, or tarragon leaves, or dry mustard. So left them out. I also used red onion instead of the green onions and it still tasted really good in my humble opinion.
For those of you who are following my grocery challenge, the tomatoes and cucumber were left over from the week before.

I love the wedding cake and the view from the window (at the reception) is terrific.
Well done on selling the wedding items and I can remember when you made that jam for the wedding. Such a nice idea for a wedding favour.
Hugs, Kaye xoxox
That wedding cake is amazing -- and I love the little boxes of jam. What an awesome theme! :)
Neat theme the Pairs were. Love the jam boxes as favor, I certainly know how much work went into those.
Loving the glimpses into your daughters wedding! It looks just beautiful, Gill! Congrats on the sales!! Yay! :)
Isn't is fabulouse when a plan, and a lot of hard work, comes together!

OMG I love the wedding cake!
Congrats on selling the stuff, like I said, I must start selling stuff.
The venue was lovely and the cake is gorgeous!
That wedding must have been beautiful from beginning to end...that cake is different and wonderful....
and the recipe sounds good...
I scrutinised the photo because it was so colourful, but I didn't see any green onions in the bowl, then I read your comment about that! Looks delicious anyway. I've been eating a lot of salad lately and like the idea of putting chick peas in it.
The wedding cake is unusual. I like the design on the sides. Was that put on afterwards or piped onto the side of the cake? Looks difficult anyway! The little pears are cute.
The jam box favours look just right. It must have taken you a long time to box up that lot!
I too love all the wedding pictures! The cake top is wonderful :-)
Thanks for that salad, I think it'd be great to make it on a Sunday and have for a few lunches during the week :-)
Love the cake Gill!
Congrats on selling the extra's from the Wedding, less clutter and a little cash in your pocket, way to go. The Wedding looks so lovely and the cake is super cute.
The pears are cute.
As soon as I saw the salad I decided I would do that fro tomorrow as i've already got dinner planned for tonight

Free Fish and chips when you buy a hot drink in British Home Stores.
It's only on the next few Fridays. Shame you're in Canada.
Reminds me that I should put that on my blog.
Beautiful cake!! And a yummy recipe. I need to try it! I have a can of chick peas in my pantry.
I love that you are spending the money you made on your haircut. That's so like me Gill! LOL!
The wedding tables look beautiful and what a view!
Thanks for sharing.
