Skywatch Friday - all I could say was WOW....

I have never seen a sky like this in my life. I took these photos around 6:30 am on Wednesday morning. It turned into a gorgeous day with little to no humidity. I am sure someone will tell me what sort of cloud this was. I couldn't get over how large that cloud cover was, and how clear it was to the north of this cloud cover.

Beautiful shots! How did I miss these? I must drink my first cup of coffee earlier so I am more awake! ;-)

My best guess is that these would be classified as altocumulus stratiformis. I love it when they get textured like that, especially at sunrise and sunset, makes for an amazing show!! Great captures!

Hi Gill, It's good to hear from you again. It's been awhile since I've visited also. Glad your move to the country happened. I'm envious. I'd LOVE to live in the country. Sounds like you all are doing alot of renovating....

Have a great day/week.
Hugs,
Betsy

Great sky shots. I'm always taking photos of the sky, and came across your blog from the Sky Watchers blog (one of these days I will join). It is nice to meet another Canadian blogger.

Looks like you had a cool front go through. Be nice to have one of those here in Texas. It has been over or near 100 degrees for weeks (months).

Loved every one of them.
Also appreciated the post about vinegar, quite a few of those tips were new to me, thanks.
