You are reminding me of the time a friend hired a landscape service to remove the weeds. He was disappointed to learn his pretty lacey white flowers were considered weeds!
Queen Anne's Lace is such a lovely, dainty flower, I always loved picking it when I was little, along with daisies!
I like Queen Anne's lace as well but then I like any white flower!!!
My dream is to have a fully white back garden, but then I'm a garden slut and have all those roses that I have bought that aren't white!

Lovely photos Gill, and Queen Anne's Lace is one of my favorite wildflowers, even if it is considered a weed. If I had any in my garden I think I would welcome it. Have a great week.

I like Queen Anne's lace too. Do you know it's edible? It's the original carrot :) It's also called "wild carrot." If you pull it now, you'll immediately smell the carroty-scent of the root, which is a white taproot. If you pull it earlier in the year, before a flower ever grows then it will be tender and flavourful. Wonderful steamed :) This time of year, the root becomes woody and hard to eat.
We have Queen Anne's Lace growing all over our property this year, and I'm really enjoying it! We hardly had any last year. But Carl has strict instructions when he mows this week to not cut it down!
