Taking dh with you grocery shopping - BAD IDEA!!

It was lovely of dh to drive me to the grocery store, however I can't say I was thrilled when the bill came to $102.  So the moral of this story is don't take dh grocery shopping if you don't want to spend more money than you normally do!!

Friday was just plain awful weather wise.  It poured down overnight and into the morning.  Then when it stopped raining it's as though someone had turned on the sauna.  It was so humid and sticky it was just plain awful.  Luckily the office does have a/c so it wasn't too bad at work.

Then of course the newspaper guy delivered the weekly paper after 8:30pm on Thursday night, so of course there was one big soggy mass of paper at the end of the driveway Friday morning??

It's a short and sweet post tonight, as I am pooped with this heat and humidity.  It will be 40 oC again with the humidity on Saturday, the kids are going to be pooped stacking all that wood.............

Intense heat is so exhausting Gill and you have been very busy this week. Can you have a more relaxed weekend. I have to tell you that my OH always spends less that I do when he does the weekly shop! I think it is because I see things that need replacing etc which he doesn't. He goes with a list and whizzes round. I don't like going shopping with him when I go for anything else because he just stands around looking like he just doesn't want to be there and I get edgy!! A x

The willy warmer hats are for 'smoothie' yogurt style drinks, every one they sell in the supermarket 25p goes to help the aged charity. They're for no real purpose! LOL xxx

Used to wear me out to go grocery shopping with Hubs, but he has become a wonderful shopper these days. He doesn't rush me, and he loads the groceries in our cloth bags at the checkout. I try not to overdo looking for the extras, though, and spread them out over several trips when I can. He's usually pretty tired by the time we get to Wallie's. . . . . . . .What's the latest on the A/C? Summer is more than half over. Get some rest!

I know what you mean about the humidity, it drains the energy right out of you.

Glad you like my Peek at the Past idea. Please give my blog a mention. I'll do the same for yours. I too like the idea of making past posts easy to visit.

It is hard to imagine all that rain with the hot weather we are having. Hope you get some more comfortable weather.

I have the same problem when I take my husband to Lowes or Costco!
The weather here is brutal too, but we have no rain in sight!

Stay cool and enjoy your weekend Gill!

We have been having sauna weather here, too...just miserable. I can't believe I used to work out in this weather all summer long...for years and years!
