Back again........

Thought I'd include a photo of one of my roses.  Not a huge fan of roses, but have to admit this one is really pretty.

It's been a hot and humid few days and it's only going to get worse this coming week.  Although dh got the electrics all done for the central air, it won't be up and running this week, as we are now waiting for the central air guy to show up!  So we will be suffering for all of this week no doubt with the heat.

The yard sale was a total waste of time.  6 people actually stopped over two days and I sold 12 vhs video's for $5 and three of my dad's bird houses for $50.  Plus I got well and truly burnt, so I am even redder than I normally am.  One good thing I did do was catch up on my reading, so that was good.  I will not be having a yard sale again though.

We were invited to the neighbours on Saturday.  I popped down for an hour.  They're Italians and they were barbequing.  I had a lamb chop and some wings.  I passed on the lamb's liver, kidney's, heart, lungs and as it was a little boy lamb his pee-pee!!  The host was very generous to offer it to me though, wasn't he...LOL

I hope you will think of me around 2 pm-ish on Monday as I am having my tooth extracted.  Can't say I am thrilled about it, but I am fed up with having this toothache.  Mind you after 10 days of antibiotics, it's only a minor throb, but I bet that it will flare up again. When this one is extracted I will be down to one back bottom tooth in my mouth.

Italian hospitality is the best...(my in-laws are Italian!) Good luck with tooth....I do not envy you, I had to have a wisdom tooth out a couple of months ago! xxx

Sorry to hear that your yard sale wasn't a success! I tried one once too and then swore I would never bother again. I hope your dentist visit is painless and all goes well.

I'm sorry to hear that your yard sale was not much of a success, and I'm also sorry that your tooth isn't able to be saved. I hope all goes well at the dentist and remember to TAKE IT EASY the rest of the day, I know that's hard for you! :-))

I guess you'd call that frugal BBQ. Don't waste a thing! . . . . .Glad you're feeling better.

sorry to hear your yard sale wasn't a great success. Your comments about the bbq made me laugh! I can see why you stuck to the chop and wings!

Mmm...Italian BBQ sounds delicious.
Sorry that your yard sale wasn't a success - maybe it was the long weekend? I don't think they're fun unless I'm a browser.
Your rose is lovely and the corner of the house makes a nice foil for the soft petals.
Hope the tooth is soon pain-free.

I feel for you on the teeth thing. My time at the moment is 1:28 so you are probably waiting at the dentist. Temp is close to 90, we also have an air pollution alert, anyone with breathing problems is suppose to stay in doors. Just hope our AC stays on with so many people using it in such large quantities, don't want it to black or brown out like it sometimes does in large cities. We're just a small village, so hopefully won't be any problem. Hope this will take care of your tooth problem, with only one left, I think I would have had that one pulled also, and got a full lower plate. I have 8 of my own below, front. None above. And I don't miss my own teeth for anything, I always had problems with them, even with all the milk I drank. Take it easy and try to stay cool, crank up your fans.

Your rose is indeed love!

I'm sorry to hear your yard sale was a bust...my parents never had one of those and neither will I, I think. I usually just give my stuff to good will and that's it.

I hope you tooth extraction wasn't too awful, but I guess when you're stuck with a stubborn tooth ache, it's the only option!

I love to go to garage sales, but I don't like having them anymore. Too much work and not enough payback. Now I just box stuff up for the donation center and mark it off on my taxes.

Lamb, huh? Not the first thing that comes to mind when I think of barbecue. You are an adventurous soul, Gill! lol

HOt here in TO but we at least have AC. Hope you get yours soon.

Agree with you the last time we had a garage sale was a total waste of time. I got fed up with people haggling over 50 cents!

Hope the tooth works out. Hubby decided 2 years ago to get dental implants what was he thinking?? 2 years later he is still waiting for the implants to be ready for the teeth!

Haven't got much time, but had to comment on that beautiful photo. Hope your tooth extraction went well (or as well as it could!)
