Anyone fancy popping by?

I got 3 bush cords of wood delivered for the winter on Wednesday and it needs to be stacked.  Now granted it's still "one million degrees" out there but it's cheaper to buy in the summer than it is in the Fall.  I paid $280 a bush cord, which is a good price, as everywhere else it's advertised at between $300 to $350 a bush cord.

On Tuesday morning Molly went mad barking like crazy as she saw this:
That's the first time I have seen a rabbit around here.  Click on this photo, to get a better look at the birdie.
I am truly fed up of this hot and humid weather, and on Tuesday had yet another nasty headache, so thought I would show a photo of a snowy day to cool me down.
Good news though, the air conditioning guys are coming Thursday, so we should have an air conditioned cooled house by Thursday night..........fingers, toes and everything else crossed!!

Gill, I have my fingers and toes crossed for you too! We're back in the oven here, and I think the humidity is what's the worse!

Love the winter pictures - it almost helped!

Maybe you could spend today watching White Christmas and sippin' iced tea!

Good picture. That rabbit has back legs like a hare but it hasn't got the long ears.

It's a little humid here too but not as hot as where you are. Thankfully we don't need air conditioning. Hope your headaches don't come back.

I can't believe it's so hot and humid all over the northern hemisphere!
The tree in the snow... that helped a little bit:))

Gill,
Oh Nooooo!!!!
I don't want to see those Winter shots just yet. It has been in the 90's here also with little breeze so I feel your pain, but not enough for Winter. I guess because we have such a short window of Summer that I'll take it at any cost.
Sorry I can't spare Hubby right now to help you stack the wood pile.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the AC guys to show up! I made a big mistake last night and decided not to turn my unit on until just before bed. There was this nice, cool air coming in through the windows, you see...it just wasn't cool enough and I ended up having a terrible night, so today I turned the unit on right away when I got in.

As for the wood, my parents always used to buy at the end of the summer too and we would have it delivered in September and my brother and I actually had quite a bit of fun stacking it, but we were kids back then lol

Hello Gill
It doesn't seem that long since you ordered the last load!
Watch your back when you shift it - well at least the house will be cool if you're incapacitated and can't move lol
Take care
Cathy

I was just thinking today about the days when we didn't have AC...not sure how I would cope without it. I hope yours gets fixed soon.

I almost posted a snow picture...and may in the next day or two. I just couldn't make up my mind last night.

Hey Gill!! That's a good price for that wood--It's more than that here. I'd not thought of getting it out of season to save some money, thanks for that!

I hope you're feeling frosty on Thursday! Hard to remember when we had snow like that when it's been record breaking heat!

Tuesday was a mixed bag type of day. Had the appliance repair guy come again to install another circuit board in the fridge.  When hubby got...
