More on the packing peanuts and other things....

Well the packing peanuts have shrunk a lot, but still have a ways to go.  It has poured down for the past 24 hours.

When I went grocery shopping this week, I saw these bulbs on sale for half price, so picked a couple of packages up.  I try to add a couple of packages of Spring Bulbs to the garden each Fall.  Do you plant bulbs each Fall?

I picked the remainder of the tomatoes off the vines on Friday and placed them in the widow sill with other tomatoes.  I won't have to buy tomatoes for the next while.

Heard this the other day, hadn't heard it in a while.  Really like this.

One of these years I'm going to plant bulbs! Our ground is so hard and rocky I haven't wanted to try to dig down, but I should put some in my big whiskey barrel planter boxes to have some spring flowers.

I am so glad I am done with tomatoes...leaving lots behind still in the garden. I love that tune; it of course was being played in a great year I would also have to say :)

It would have been nice to have been told how long it would take for the peanuts to melt. At least they are alot smaller now. Over the last couple of years I have added a few bulbs at a time to my garden.

Great update about the peanuts.

We planted quite a few spring bulbs last year so hoping they'll return. Will get round to the garden one day...but you could spend a fortune on it couldn't you?

Great glut of tomatoes. They look delicious.

We liked the music..very mellow.

Trying to figure out if I should wait to plant bulbs because we are still having warm days and very little frost.

I've been eyeing bulbs too, and would love to plant some--I've just not taken the time to do it yet.

I hope you've enjoyed your day and are staying dry!

I need to start planting them, I always envy those that do when spring comes around. Next year! Thanks for the comments about our storm. Hope you don't get too much up there.

Hey Gill.... thx for stopping by. I'm down Whitby way; sounds like we are in for a lot of rain. Weather Channel predicts rain for 10 of the next 14 days. That's ok, I'm going to stay indoors and read blogs. LOL! Stay dry.

I must admit I don't know much about bulbs. I tend to buy plants and stick them in and hope for the best. If they have flowers all the better. I am currently planting out my vegie patch and weeding furiously. :)

I like to add bulbs in the fall but don't always get it done. Roger brought in green tomatoes today....do you like them fried? We love them--he uses this chuckwagon mix and they are delicious. Or sometimes I just use plain flour...other times I chunk them up and use corn meal and flour for a little bit different flavor.

Tuesday was a mixed bag type of day. Had the appliance repair guy come again to install another circuit board in the fridge.  When hubby got...
